Question: Discuss about the Renovation Proposal in Hospitality. Answer: Introduction The Santoor Restaurant is operating in Dhaka, Bangladesh for many years. It has a huge customer visits on regular basis and it has acquired a good market position in Dhaka (Bangladeshifood2.blogspot.in 2017). The visitors reviewing website TripAdvisor shows many reviews both positive and negative for the current situation of the business of the Santoor Restaurant. It is showing that, the restaurant is facing few issues in the hospitality facilities such as, waiters approaches during serving food, quality of the food, interior management, reception services and pricing grid for the food items (Tripadvisor.in, 2017). The assignment suggests to Santoor Restaurant to improve their hospitality facilities to get better business growth in Bangladesh. In a research conducted by Erku?-ztrk and Terhorst in the year 2016, shows that, the high-quality restaurants used to be more creative in the hospitality services providing to their customers along with the interior of the restaurant. The study has gone through a detailed interviews with 54 restaurant staffs and critically analyzed their reviews. This shows, the people working in such high quality restaurant focuses on the creativity and innovation in services which drives their business to the desired goal. Along with that, such restaurants attracts the tourists in better way than the other restaurants (Erku?-ztrk and Terhorst 2016). The Santoor Restaurant has focused on their food menu with variety of cousins such as Chinese, Indian and many more, to get tourists too for their services. The target market of Santoor consists of the local people along with the tourists. Henceforth, they need to renovate their hospitality services to compete with the high quality restaurants of Bangladesh. According to the research by Ertzberger in the year 2017, interior designing is very important for the restaurant to please their customers along with attract new people for their services. The research shows that, now days, the eye of the consumers are increasingly getting educated in the matter of dcor. Thus to attract the target customers, a restaurant should focus on the acoustics, color, fabrics, lighting and many other dcor objects. The research has found that, sensory branding and emotional design can be effective to acquire customers loyalty and better profits. The features, furnishing and the materials used in a restaurant dcor are the building block for the overall customers experience (Ertzberger 2017). Thus, the Santoor need to focus on the dcor of the restaurant and implement some creative features to attract more customers to the business. According to the study by Ramburger in the year 2016, the Gabes Tower, famously known for their architectural structure, a famous hotel in Owensboro have faced various issues similar to the Santoor restaurant. The Gabes Tower has focused only on the customers foot fall rather the interior, creativity in serving foods and various other aspects, which ruined their market share in a small span of time (Ramburger 2016). The lack of concern in such factors has reduced their market potential too. However, they have tried enough to restructure their business but it becomes difficult with time and the market competition. Thus, the Santoor Restaurant requires to focus on the quality of the dcor and other hospitality services to remain the market share in the hospitality business in Bangladesh. These are needed for the economic growth of the business (Ramburger 2016). According to a research by Kukanja and other researchers conducted in the year 2016, the customer loyalty depends on the hospitality services quality of the restaurant and it is suggested by the report to concentrate on the services quality as per the theoretical concepts of 7Ps of Marketing. The product should be creatively design and served with fresh ingredients. The price of the product should be strategically design along with the analysis of the pricing strategy of the competitors (Kukanja, M., Omerzel, and Kodri? 2016). The people of the restaurant should follow the guidelines of customer relationship management to build good connection with the customers. These strategies will also enhance the loyalty ratio between the customers and the company. The report suggests the Santoor Restaurant should maintain good relationship with their customers. The review sites has found that, the employees of the restaurant use to behave rudely with the visitors which is influencing the image of the restaurant. The report by Nikbin states that, the restaurants and dinning services are major parts of the hospitality industry of a country and it also enhances the overall economic status of the country. Thus it is necessary for the restaurant business along with other businesses in the hospitality industry to focus on the hospitality services (Nikbin, Marimuthu and Hyun 2016). The assignment has gone through various objects related to hospitality industry and suggests the Santoor Restaurant to implement the concepts of renovations required for their business. The restaurant business need to modify their business plan according to the latest trends in the market rather than old trends.
