Safety Safety is the most important issue in the laboratory. Always work in a safe manner. Many labs deal with sharp objects, inflammable material, and toxic or infectious substances. If you are ever in doubt about a procedure, ask, never assume. Note the proper disposal of wastes and the location or the pedestal. All food items must be in a backpack or on top of or in the refrigerator.
